In Memoriam Of Our Founder
Reid Sossong
April 18, 1958 - June 19, 2023
Reid Sossong passed away on June 19th after experiencing unexpected medical
issues. For the past several months his health had been declining and
was having medical problems. Even towards the end when it looked like
things were getting better, the endless fighting he endured and having
the mentality of not giving up ended abruptly.
Reid started the company in 1980 when he was 22 years old with little to
nothing to his name. Having to face many challenges all along the way,
at the same time with many accomplishments as well, he was able to build
the successful and highly reputable company that we are today.
He
joined Building Owners and Managers Association, BOMA, in the 1990s and
became very active in this organization and served on many committees,
volunteered for an endless list of causes, and eventually served on the
Board of Directors.
Reid completed the classes and requirements
necessary and earned his Real Property Administrator, RPA certification
as well. Over the years, Desert Cleaning continued to grow, and despite
this, the company’s culture remained true to Reid’s vision, core values,
and beliefs. Reid was hands-on and very involved with most areas of the
company each day. We will continue to operate and carry on his vision, core values and beliefs he valued dearly.
